Poppy's Worst Day
Poppy Sue was spayed last Friday. I have never had a dog that was spayed before. My mom wouldn't get our previous dog spayed as she had a bad experience with her old dog. So let me just tell you, I felt like the worst dog mom ever after we picked her up from the vet's office. Poor Poppy was so excited to go to the vet. She loves it there, and they love her! She went bounding into the office excited to see everyone, but little did she know what was about to come. Her spay did not take too long, and we were able to pick her up within 4 hours. She came out of that office a different dog. She looked like she had been drug through a hole! Her face hair was a mess, it looked like she had been crying, and her belly was shaved so much. She could hardly keep her eyes open from the anesthesia. She was lethargic and nauseous! I felt AWFUL!! The worst mom EVER!
